France set to reopen by July 2021

30 April, 2021

Starting from May 3rd France is easing restrictions in 4 stages:

  • On May 3rd high schools and secondary-schools return to in-class teaching.
  • On May 19th the current 7PM curfew will be pushed to 9PM. Terraces of restaurants and cafes are allowed to reopen. Non-essential shops, museums, cinemas are allowed to reopen with limited visitors.
  • On June 9th the curfew will be pushed to 11PM. Foreign tourists (even NON-EU) are allowed to enter the country on 2 conditions: if Covid numbers are under control after May 3rd and if the visitor is holding a “health pass” (proof of vaccination or negative Covid test). Holders of a “health pass” are allowed to attend stadiums and large events.
  • On June 30th the curfew will be lifted entirely but night clubs will remain closed.

“Emergency breaks” might be introduced in regions where the Covid contaminations are too present.
